This
summer I watched Ted. Ted is about a 10 year old kid who got a teddy bear for Christmas
and made a wish for his bear to come alive. And then it cuts to a shot showing a shooting star. The next day he wakes up and he cant find it and when he does find him hes alive. The teddy bear becomes a sanitation and him and his owner John ( played by Mark Wahlberg ) are best friends from then on.
John and Ted live together with John's girlfriend ( Mila Kunis ) in a Boston apartment at first it was just fun and games. Ted and John would sit down on the couch and smoke weed and drink almost all day. So Johns girlfriend gets mad and tells him he needs to have Ted move out so they can start a life together
Ted moved out and one day he and John went on a walk in the park and encountered this Man and his son who wanted to buy Ted. John said no and moved on. Then one day Ted got kidnapped by the same man and so John and his girlfriend go on a chase for him and the Man leads them to Fenway park.
So now the man climbs to the top of the green monster lights and drops ted off the light on to the field and he is torn up and hes stuffing is all over the place. So John rushes home and sews him up but he wasn't responding so they go to bed but Johns girlfriend looks out the window and sees a shooting star and wishes for her " old life back" and in the morning Ted is alive and the live happily ever after.
I would definitely recommend this movie to my friends because its hilarious and its a can't miss
Your blog is just a summary of what you saw rather than a review with minimal summarizing. By summarizing the whole movie you make the reader want to see the movie less now that you have given away every detail to the movie even the ending. I suggest you make this more of a review in which you give your opinions on elements of the film, what you loved, and what you hated. By doing so you might motivate your readers to go see the film.
ReplyDeleteJust like Arafat, I also think that your film review is more of a film summary rather than a film critique. When you do a film critique you should think about the purpose of the scenes, what is the director trying to show? What techniques is s/he uses to do so? You should also think about the setting, how does it relate to the story-line? Is it affective, etc? But most importantly think about the camera angles, the lighting, the music, the color texture, the acting, the theme, etc. There is much more to a film critique than just a film summary.
ReplyDeleteTo agree with Arafat and Elizabeth, I believe that you could add some actual analysis of the film. I believe you need to look deeper than the summary and possibly analyze the film shot, editing, and directing techniques. Also think about how and why the director portrayed something as innocent as a teddy bear as mean as he did. Also you should critique maybe the actors and storyline as a whole.
ReplyDeleteIt is more of a summary compared to a review. I'd like to hear more about your opinion on the film itself. What characters did you like? What was your favorite scene? I thought it was a good summary however and i want to watch the whole movie.
ReplyDeletevincent :) i like the movie ted i like how you did a brief summary of your film review, but you needed more details and pictures and people need to be able to see your videos not just a basic link, but its okay your probably getting the hang of it so now that you got a feed back fix this up. other wise good job!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I'm a little upset that you ruined the whole movie for me! And ya this review isn't even a review, its more of a summary. You should of focused more on the actual analysis of the movie. Like maybe the character development, plot analysis, etc. The summary itself wouldn't have made me as upset if it was just a summary. You basically just flat out told us what happened in the beginning, middle, and end. Keep at it bud. (p.s mine is not all that great either.)
