Sample Oral 2 (HL): I would grade this Oral a 17 because he gives a pretty clear description of his extract. He tells us why his extract connects to the big picture about the film. This guy uses very good Vocabulary which makes his analysis thorough.
Sample Oral 3: i would give this Oral a 20 because she gives a very good description of the sequence. She also tells us why she picked the sequence and why its important to the whole film. She describes the Directors intents and goes in to a very thorough description of Camara angles body language dialogue and emotions

Oral Self-Assessment Pycho
Grading my Oral Assessment i would give my self a 15. I would give my self this grade because i understood the Material to a certain extent. I gave what The Directors purpose of the film was and how he incorporated what he wanted to do to make his film better. I knew and understood the genre. My analysis wasn't that great so i wouldn't give my self that much of a higher grade

Writing about film
The five kinds film writing targeted in this reading are Formal Analysis, Film History, Ideological Papers, and Cultural Studies/ National Cinemas. Formal Analysis is when a reader or viewer takes an in depth look at the film and breaks in down in to component parts and discusses why that particular part tells the whole story. Film History is when the film tells a sort about something. Ideological Paper is when a film is used to promote a specific belief or idea. Cultural Studies are when the film displays the culture and nations are produced. Annotating A Film Sequence is taking notes about the specific film. You have to label each shot in the sequence. Thinking Beyond the Frame is asking questions about the film. some of the questions are Who made the film? what is the production history about he film? What do critics and scholars say? What can you learn from the films genre? Does the film reflect an interesting cultural phenomenon?

From Silents to Studios
The use of sound in Film was first brought in and executed by The Warner brothers. This idea of sound in Film kind of worried other companies because they didn't know if their film was going to be a laughing stock. They were worried because it added more people to the production crew and they thought it has going to be harder. Companies also didn't want to spend a lot of money on sound rooms. Warner brothers were not all there financially so they tried everything they could to keep getting money. Many Actors started to flee the business because they were not really the star of the films.
The years 1930-1950 were known as the "studio years". The were called this because companies made factory systems that made films. This big shots had members under contracts which meant they could not work for any other companies till the contracts were up. The Factories led to quality in films.

the heart of the game documentary review
1. the subject of this film was to show that a girls basketball team from Dallas lost 100-0 and didn't loss any faith at all. the purpose is to show even as much as you lose by at the end of the day its just a game.
2. the film uses shots of practice to show that the girls always do there best to win but dont.
3 The film doesnt use anything else to show the effect of practice and the effect of losing but the interview with the players show that they really dont care that they got blownout so bad because they tried their best and at the end of the day its just a game.
4. No voice overs just interviews
5no
6. yes they interviewd the team asking them what they felt about the loss and they always said the same thing. " its just a game"
7. the girls in the interviewed in the documentary played the dreadful game.
8. no it does not
9.no its mostly a side by side interview
10. yes so that the coach and the 2 girls talking are next to him and the rest of the team is just sitting behind them.
11. the maker uses live footage of practice to show the heart of the girls.
12. no not much sound beside the interview
13. no always a side by side interview.
14. i like the effectiveness becasue it shows how a team can overcome such a big loss and to know that its just a game
